Successful completion of proof-of-concept with Bossa Nova Robotics. Accompanied autonomous robot at customer’s retail location. Public-facing rep for Bossa Nova, communicated with robot operational center, ensured safe operation, teleoped robot, documented customer interactions, answered questions for customers and client, monitored and charged batteries, uploaded data to cloud storage, inspected and cleaned onboard LiDar sensors and cameras, and served as customer communication.

Responsible start to finish for customers’ experience during their service visit in a large RV dealership. As the face of the Service Department our job was to exceed customer expectations when they call or come in for RV service. Customer service with changing variables, happening in a fast-paced environment. Handled technical questions; helping owners understand systems operation on their unit. Careful listening to customers, asking follow-up questions, inspecting RV’s, setting realistic expectations, create repair orders, dispatch work to technicians. Upsell suggestions, provide price quotes, test drives, and oversee correct parts ordering. Frequent updates to customers, communicating technician’s findings and recommendations, check warranty & recalls, insurance companies & estimates, outreach to manufacturers for technical assistance. Communications with outside vendors on sublet repairs. Responsible for vendor selection, scheduling, quality of workmanship, pricing, and timely completion. Calming upset customers was a regular thing and I became skilled at it. Delivering a unit back to the customer included: quality control inspection, walk through with customer & explanation of all work performed, calculating charges and receiving payment. Whatever was needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Taught engaging automotive classes and labs with enthusiasm to NATEF and Ford MLR standards. Served with a grateful attitude in tasks typical of full-time faculty: achieving/maintaining mastery of subject matter, facilitating student success, continuing professional development in teaching & learning. Safe operation and oversight of classroom and lab areas was top priority. I was responsible for ordering supplies, operating within budget, reconciling actual inventory needed for students. I secured tools & equipment in/out of tool room, documented repairs/replacement needed, and secured all equipment at end of day. Re-certified ASE Master Technician Certifications, completed Ford manufacturer-specific certifications (MLR), and after-market training live & online. Performing revisions and development of new curriculum independently and collaboratively. Recommended lab equipment and provided suggestions on new technology for program. Nurtured a robust Industry Advisory committee. Provided leadership resulting in NATEF re-accreditation. Served as mentor to new faculty. Volunteered for events to attract new students: SkillsUSA Competition, field trips, student club car shows, STEM Open House, Career Nights.

Served students with engaged teaching of automotive classes and labs to NATEF standards in a post-secondary school. Provided assistance to the Director as requested for special projects. Offered leadership and mentoring for new instructors lacking teaching experience. Collaborated with fellow instructors lead to program-wide improvements. Completed expert revisions of curriculum, tests, and presentations. Maintained ASE Master Technician Certifications and added professional update training.

Traveled as a technical trainer to deliver high level CNG training for a top natural gas training company. Demonstrated expert ability to deliver technical presentations to varied audiences. Represented our company to clients ranging from UPS, FedEx, PepsiCo, Republic Services; to medium and small fleets, and municipal transit bus groups. Training attenders included fleet technicians, maintenance supervisors, trucking company management, educators, engineers, entrepreneurs and government personnel. Responsible for trucks and equipment used in training activities. Worked independently with minimum supervision and achieved consistently high ratings from customer surveys. Served as subject matter expert, answered technical questions email & phone, collaborated on writing tech articles, revised and developed new curriculum. Maintained ASE Master Certification, CNG Fuel System Inspector Certification, manned trade show booths, attended hundreds of hours of technical training.

Taught with enthusiasm various of automotive classes and labs in a large, NATEF accredited program. Led students of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds with dedication to help them reach their educational goals and get employed in the automotive field. My responsibilities included: mentoring students on career and work issues, curriculum revisions and new course development, assisting part-time faculty and program director as needed, giving tours to prospective students and visitors. Committee service as Applied Technology, Industry Advisory, Clean Cities Coalition. I’ve completed tons of professional development training (100's of hours live plus online) to stay current, as well as evaluating and arranging classes for colleagues. Serving at recruiting events and doing local shop visits were common. Volunteer activities as student field trips to SEMA show, races, and SkillsUSA State Competition.
