About Dave Culver

I am a public education professional with experience in three states. I have 25 years of classroom experience, teaching a wide variety of trade and technical programs, including Engineering, Construction Trades, Manufacturing, Automotives, and Graphic Arts. I've been a Co-op Coordinator since 2008.I am a strong believe that public education has the ability to 'bend the curve' of trajectory for our youth today.

    I was hired to teach Manufacturing Technology at the Springfield Technical Center. By the time I left the classroom to become a Cooperative Education Coordinator, the tech center had changed names to the River Valley Technical Center and became an independent school district and I had served in a variety of teaching roles.I was a manufacturing teacher for my first year. I developed and implemented a precision machining program, including manual machining and computer numeric control technology. The following year I switched to teaching the Drafting Program. I brought CADD in to the program and it transformed it to a hands-on Engineering Program. In 2000 I joined the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) consortium and became certified to teach the following courses, which all offered students Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) college credit.- Introduction to Engineering and Design - Principles of Engineering- Computer Integrated Manufacturing- Civil and Architectural Engineering
