I am responsible for managing the delivery of technical projects within the Public Sector Software division, ensuring the correct resource is allocated to maximise efficiency, speed up project closure and ensure a faster customer sign off.I manage a team of consultants, planning the work, managing their diaries, build practical development plans, and oversee the successful implementation of technical installations.Also, as part of my remit, I manage the Digital Delivery Team that is responsible for the delivery of all Digital Customer Journey’s and Mobile Application’s that customers purchase. All requests for work etc. for this team are raised via a central system that was implemented by myself, working closely with the relevant software specialist to ensure my process workflow was programmed into the software (Hornbill) I also ensure that my staff provide high-quality service delivery, whilst ensuring that profit is maximised, bourne out of the efficiencies that my processes were put in place to achieve. I introduced an issue logging system for project managers to ensure that projects were closed in a timely manner allowing the capture of the relevant information to aid in further staff training where required or highlighting product deficiencies quickly to be fed back to development.I currently have direct contact with IDOX customers, and I am regarded as a trusted advisor to a number of our clients, such as Sunderland City Council and Harrogate Borough Council, whereby they ask the account manager or project manager for my direct involvement in their projects.My current role is strongly customer focused. I work very closely with account managers and project managers to ensure those customer interactions run as smoothly as possible, and I was fundamental in ensuring that the existing price book was updated from a technical delivery perspective.

This involved managing a number of remotely based technical consultants, who provide installations and configuration of the IDOX suite of products. My main role as senior was to undertake staff performance reviews in line with the current Staff Development Framework and provide regular monitoring of my team and individuals to ensure that best practice is followed at all times. I provided an escalation point and technical assistance to my staff and other staff in the organisation on operational issues and general queries around specific tasks. I was an active member on the staff council and in doing so worked with senior management across the business. I was responsible for the liaison between operations and development for a number of IDOX based web products including PublicAccess, ConsulteeAccess and web service connectors, providing a conduit into development for two way discussions relating to the development and implementation of these products.

Research Machines are an ISP dedicated to the education sector. They had approximately 8000+ connected networks, providing Internet connectivity to primary schools, secondary schools and colleges. My duties included designing networks for our customers, project managing the install of these networks along with other technical project work using MS Project, liaising with Telcos and other 3rd party suppliers to ensure we had capacity on our network to meet our customer's Internet demands and placing orders where required. Technologies included ATM, ISDN, Frame Relay, ADSL and Megastream. I gained my Redhat Linux Certification (RHCE). I largely worked with Linux and NT, installing and configuring Apache Web server and Squid Proxy server. I was also involved in PERL/PHP scripting and in-house web design. Preparing budgetary information to senior management on future costings and discount details for all RM bandwidth. I also provided 3rd line support to our Internet technical support team dealing with escalations where necessary.

Responsible for the installation of the central IT servers/desktop machines. Liaison with 3rd party suppliers for the installation of the IT core network. My duties included investigating and implementing new technology, providing 3rd line support to a highly skilled technical team. I administered the Jewson network which consisted of approximately 2000+ nodes. Setup implemented and managed a distributed PC Support team consisting of technicians based across the country to support the corporate desktop/servers. Designed and implemented training rooms throughout the country for ongoing corporate training courses. I was accountable for a number of major projects within Jewson and the Group.
