Tracked multiple bulletin boards for the department. Active on the Safety Team until being elected Safety Team Leader for the shift about 2003. Handled bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly safety audits for safety, first aid and Dangerous Goods, planned and executed monthly safety meetings, incident review board meetings and ordered all facility safety supplies. Initiated many projects through meetings such as larger and better placed first aid boxes, reduced spending for supplies, updated & submitted the emergency response plan for the building to the MAC, coordinating first aid and CPR training and getting an AED for the facility. Voluntary participation in all of the required annual and biannual training both for the Safety position and first aid/CPR. I was asked to cover the Environmental Coordinator spot for the night shift, assisting the primary coordinator with monthly, quarterly and yearly audits, training, regulatory permits, disposals and manifest filing. Frequent or daily use of Excel and Word spreadsheets and forms, used both systems to create job aids and daily use forms for operations. Trained as a straight truck driver and received my class B CDL with a Haz Mat endorsement and drove as a bulk/sweep swing driver.

We attended fire fighter training put on by the USFS and were certified at the federal level and issued Red Cards. Respond to radio and phone dispatches to assist fire crews on the line as well as participation in controlled burns. I was assigned whatever tasks were required of me including based on the most current situational awareness and information traffic control and/or redirection, fire line cutting, tree felling, back burning, water transport, fire and hot spot control and I assisted in fire tower maintenance checks and resupply.
