Do you want it, "Faster, quicker and better?" Then I'm the guy to lead your team! Operations leadership is critical when meeting financial and business performance goals matter. I bring a range of experience spanning military construction projects, customer service, emergency management, and most recently real estate and nonprofit organization governance. During my years of U.S. Air Force service, I found my calling in operations and leading teams. I never even thought I’d make the rank of Colonel (top 5.1 percent), but I humbly did, and it led to more senior levels of leadership. Since then, I’ve always been a leader and my career has evolved through the ranks of Operations Leadership. I love finding opportunities to improve processes or develop people and watch a vision take shape (sometime with no infrastructure in place). I am a firm advocate for leading people and managing things and I apply that personal philosophy to all of my endeavors.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬A FEW PROUD ACHIEVEMENTS▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬- COST SAVINGS…saved over $2M in shipping fees by selecting local suppliers and implementing electronic purchasing software (USAF).- PROCESS IMPROVEMENT…accelerated payment schedule for staff reimbursements (9 days to 1 day) with choice of cloud-based software (MissionNext).- PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT…ensured ALL contributors were recognized with installation of new competition area focused on the inputs from our facilities teams. Helped subordinate win Air Force Lodging Manager of the Year out of 88 operations globally. My 605 room hotel was final runner up of 85 lodging operations judge by the American Hotel and Motel Association.- FISCAL MANAGEMENT…Oversaw massive site construction project with $150M operating budget and $500M+ in capital assets. Influenced senior leaders to move forward with build program. On-time completion achieved. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬CONNECT WITH ME▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I enjoy building things. I have used my own hands in every aspect of renovating my cabin (window installation, paint, plumbing, electrical) and I love taking my time tinkering on car restoration projects. I equally enjoy connecting with like-minded leaders and organizations that care about their people, profits, and productivity. If your organization can use a servant-leader, with a bias for action, let’s connect!David J. Estill | Phoenix, AZ | Dave.Estill2[at]gmail.com
