I have studied software and networking in college where I learnt how to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently alongside being able to document tasks carried out as well as creating documentation for others to follow.Since leaving college, I have gained a wider range of skills that lead to me becoming a Wooden Rollercoaster Engineering Technician which required me to be able to undertake safety cricitcal checks each day and provide conclusive evidence of inspection work being carried out. Due to the nature of the role, I have been sent out and successfully completed the Rescue 3 - Rope Rescue qualification.In August 2019, I moved away from my position of Wooden Rollercoaster Engineering Technician and began to work as an IT Technician across schools in Cheshire before moving on to a single site as the Senior IT Technician. Through my previous knowledge and understanding of hardware and software, I was able to adapt myself into utilising my skills to provide front line support to those who needed it, from on-site assistance, email requests, telephone queries or through remote assistance tools, I have been able to effectively and efficiently deliver to deadlines and minimal impact on the end users. I have developed many new skills through working in my role and have used these skills to further my knowledge, both in terms to enable me to complete jobs more efficiently and be able to deliver first time fixes, but also for my own personal ambitions, from beginning to learn to code using Swift, through to designing and creating electronic circuitry to meet my desired needs for the application I am creating.Through hard work and dedication in to what I do, I have been able to progress up the career ladder and allow myself to look for positions higher than I thought I would be able to achieve. In turn, this has allowed me to deliver the best I can for those requiring assistance, receiving feedback from SLT’s on the work I have completed to their requirements which has lead to me taking new steps into paths I didn’t know I could take.In my own time, I have trained to operate counterbalance forklifts and also reach forklifts, enabling me to undertake a wider range of jobs.
