Member of the Senior Management Team for one of the highest rated public school district’s in the State of Ohio. Managed a staff of professionals responsible for the overall direction of all Administrative and Instructional Technology Services associated with application delivery, communications (voice and data); and tools to enhance individual learning opportunities; to maximize the quality of classroom instruction; to support integrated record keeping/management/reporting systems in student information, classroom/district/state assessment, EMIS, student registration and transportation; to increase productivity; and to facilitate communication and promote home/school/community partnerships within the district. Working with the Superintendent and Mason City School Board members to develop the long-term Management and Instructional Information Strategy which linked information technologies with the district’s educational goals and objectives including: Design of a state of the art $72,000,000 High School/Community Center and $37,000,000 Intermediate School expansion and new Early Child Center; Implementation of an integrated Student Information System, Instructional Management System /Data Warehouse and Transportation System, and web-based reporting tools providing parents, teachers and staff with real-time data on student progress while meeting State requirements; networking instructional applications to allow teachers to monitor student progress leading to the highest rating on the State Report Card for six years in a row; Establishing proactive organizational framework and budgets that supported the proper balance of end-user support for teachers and staff to maximize benefits for the district.

Part-time evening instructor for undergraduate classes introducing local area networking concepts, business concepts, as well as advanced LAN/WAN design and real world business applications.

As the top technical architect of the district provided a vision of how technology could be applied within Cincinnati Public Schools. Directly responsible for providing the strategic leadership and for managing the organization which developed and delivered the following services: (1) Network Services [District-wide E-mail (GroupWise), Inter/Intranet Access]; (2) LAN-based Applications; (3) Enterprise Networking [Novell, Windows NT]; (4) Data and Voice Communications; (5) Technology Infrastructure [Cabling, Hardware/Software Standards]; (6) Data Base Access [Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle]. Directed a staff of professionals that consisted of direct reports and consultants while managing an annual budget of $7,000,000; including 6000 instructional and 1000 administrative workstations within the district.

Manage and oversee budgets for Victoria's Secret Stores communication systems supporting a 1 million square foot distribution center and 580 stores nation-wide, including a ROLM 9751 CBX, PC hardware/software, cable plant, divisional WAN/LANs and PC/telecom staffing: Working with the Director Of Operations and the CFO to develop a 3 million dollar annual telecommunications/PC LAN budget in which I was directly responsible. This involved new purchases of hardware/software, maintenance and staffing to support Shop Operations, Finance, Sales Audit, Merchandising, Personnel and Payroll applications. Worked with various department heads to find innovative solutions to meet the day-to-day needs of the business. Directed a staff that consisted of full-time associates and consultants.Other responsibilities at The Limited, Inc. have included managing an extensive T1/DS3 network supporting voice and IBM/SNA-based data communications between four major locations including over 2,600 apparel retailing stores.

Responsible for evaluating, selection, and integrating IBM, Hewlett-Packard, as well as other departmental computer systems at University Systems, the administrative computer center for Ohio State. Providing consulting services to support administrative data processing and the Northern Telecom SL-100 telephone service environment within the university.Other positions held at The Ohio State University from 1981 - 1989 involved various operational support roles and the appointment as acting Manager of Production and Quality Assurance for Computer Operations supporting the Payroll System, Student Data System and other administrative systems.
