About Dave Howard
As Creative Learning Producer I lead on the relationships that the Company has with schools and other learning settings. we focus on addressing issues of curriculum delivery, teacher development, community engagement and school improvement by developing bespoke arts based partnership projects. Side by side with my work at Stan's Cafe I’m a musician. This of course incorporates a multitude of activity and application of skills and experience that go far behind the making of music itself; from organisational development and fundraising to website design and podcast production. I’m currently involved in producing albums, promoting live events, instrument coaching, creating online magazines and training materials, delivering training sessions, video making, and facilitating group and community development. Paddywack Arts works in organisations and in formal and informal learning settings. Our work is both proactive and reactive; we work with our partners to develop projects that engage, energise and answer questions, and we offer a range of responsive activities and services.I am a connection maker, passionate about the role of the arts in general, and music making specifically as an agent of social change. I unite agendas, and demonstrate the value of what the arts can do in relation to a wide variety of non-arts based priorities.A musician, and social entrepreneur; I design websites, write copy, and think a lot. Part of its offer was the music studio, and it was this that I managed.Starting prior to its commissioning, I worked in the youth wing at Leicester Southfields College delivering music sessions on a part time basis. With Chandy Chauhan I specified and commissioned the studio within the new resource, and then raised funds in order to deliver a full time programme of training and youth work provision.The studio was a very well specifies professional facility, designed by Munro Associates, and put to use in support of the youth work curriculum. My fundraising enabled the employment of a full time team of 3 for the studio's management and operation.
