Responsible for project management related to the implementation of fund-raising and public relations events that increase revenues and recognition for the organization. In conjunction with Board members, staff and volunteers, implemented strategies using current philanthropic trends and demographics to: Increase charitable giving to local recipient organizations by enhancing existing relationships and developing new donors by researching prospective individuals, companies, and foundations. Organize and manage direct mail appeals to a target audience that include approximately 65,000 companies, organizations and individuals. Recruit, train and support volunteers involved in a variety of fund-raising efforts including luncheons, sporting events, fashion shows, auctions and gala dinners.  Expand public relations campaigns that increase community awareness by planning and implementing press releases and marketing materials that include event program booklets, posters, and invitations.

Organize, plan, and monitor all operations to increase revenue of a successful multi-million dollar home furnishing business. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervision of 11 sales and support staff. Establish employee performance goals and provide feedback and support to improve skills and productivity. Plan, organize, and install all visual displays, advertising, and merchandising, including window and floor presentation of items that appeal to local clientèle.  Increase new business by ensuring accountability for processing of special orders and continued business outreach into the desired market segments.

Exceed store revenue goals through strategic coordination of the Personal Shopping Department, special events, and public relations. Increase high-end clientèle and loyalty by designing and implementing a specialized team of personal shoppers to provide world-class service for existing customers combined with a planned approach of corporate outreach toward desired market segments. Manage the Personal Shopping Department, including all HR functions, including, but not limited to hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure effective operations of six personal shoppers, and the related support team members of the department. Coordinate efforts of the Personal Shopping Department with those of the Public Relations team contributing to the success of various store-wide events and promotions, including an extensive partnership with Bally’s Hotel & Casino of Atlantic City.

Increase the public interest and awareness of present and future trends affecting the communications technology industry and market. Coordinate briefings and press releases with reporters and analysts to ensure growth of understanding and awareness of client efforts and goals. Plan, organize, and implement corporate events and company volunteer efforts in support of multiple public entities, i.e., New York Cares, United Way and American Red Cross. Develop public relations strategies, including press releases and abstracts for implementation among diverse market segments of company clients, their customers, and stockholders.
