Recreation Technician
Current-Maintained 24.75 miles of trails to Forest Service standards-Organized and lead volunteer groups and projects on the Comanche National Grasslands-Assisted in updating the trail and recreation site data into the recreation INFRA database-Maintained 11 developed recreation sites to Forest Service standards-Made repairs as needed to developed rec facilities-Conducted public outreach and education events-Monitored, contacted visitors, provided information on the area and recreation opportunities, monitored and documented visitor use, -Documented resource/facility damage and new route/road creation-Performed informational and educational visitor contacts with the public-Maintained and installed signs, gates, and fences using power and hand tools-Issued warnings and citations as a forest protection officer-Observed and recorded pertinent information as a forest protection officer-Prepared incident reports as a forest protection officer-Input incident reports into the Law Enforcement and Investigations Management Attainment Reporting System as a forest protection officer-Patrolled district roads and trails, ensured that use of roads and trails is in accordance with recreation plans and regulations. -Coordinated law enforcement activities with local Forest Service Law Enforcement Officers and with non-Forest Service Law Enforcement agencies
