Currently teaching the graduate course of Integrated Technology III. The course strives to take a more integrated approach to the traditional architecture school topics of structures, building technology, mechanical systems, and environmental design, focusing on their interactions and relationships.

The VDC group deals primarily with Building Information Models (BIMs), whether from design teams, trade contractors, or ones that we create. We use the majority of software programs in use both on the design and construction sides of the industry. We often co-locate with and assist design teams with their modeling efforts, as well as develop the models for use in preconstruction, estimating, physical construction and facilities management. This includes design and/or construction model coordination, project renderings, visual scheduling, model-based take-offs, and construction field sketches, all the while keeping in mind both the design and its constructability.

Worked as an architectural intern including drafting, product research, computer modeling, Building Information Modeling (specifically Revit Architecture), construction documents, assisting with construction administration and close out. Helped pilot the firm's transition from Autocad to Revit. Designed, implemented, and maintained the firm's website. Designed and implemented a project database for the firm. Assisted with many graphic design and marketing projects, including a portfolio submittal for the Fire Chief Station Style Awards that resulted in a Bronze award. Coordinated the LEED submittal for a veterinary clinic in Tucson which resulted in a Gold Certification.

Worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the College of Architecture for a 4th year Building Technology/Structures class and lab in the Spring 2009 semester, and then for a Design Communication/Technology class for the Fall 2009 semester. Duties included assisting the professors with lesson prep work, assisting undergraduate students with instruction and assignments, software tutorials, grading assignments, and assisting the professors with their duties as needed.
