Bury St Edmunds West Suffolk Hospital Nhs Trust

OCS won contract in July 2013 to manage Car Parks on the West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust site. Some 1600 spaces with some 2000 vehicles daily entering and leaving site. I manage a team of 7 and have to provide 24/7 cover 365 days a year. Primary role includes to ensure payments are made by visitors - varying tariffs apply - both public and staff. Ensure customers are given the best experience and maintain serviceability of pay machines, barriers and associated parking equipment with a 3rd party company. Ensure signage is compliant with BPA and that any enforcement re vehicles is within the BPA Regulations. Regular meetings with the client. Again MI for both client and OCS Management is produced daily, When required I have recruited the staff over time and ensured they were trained on site on the varying aspects of the attendants role. Management of our time and attendance system/duties so my team are paid correctly. Over the last year or so there has been more communication/contact with the hospital security team- where both teams will assist each other when required in dealing with issues such as a vulnerable patient or an accident in one of the Car Parks.

Generalist HR Advisor in a Logistic environment responsible for both warehouse and transport staff - payroll, ER, recruitment, training and development. Health and Safety links with role and internal auditing. Travelled to out bases in varying locations. Made redundant due to downturn in the business at the Stowmarket site - Akzo Nobel paints contract.

Bury St Edmunds And Ipswich

General Admin support in a Traffic unit between 1996 and Dec 2002 within Operations department and then duties administrator based in the old Ipswich Police station - responsible for supporting uniformed officers and civilian management in general duties around ensuring sufficient staffing levels were met at all times. Also as based in HR office ensured officers attended safety training, and other training courses. Dealt with absence and again Health and Safety in that I was a member of unison and was a trained Health and Safety officer who carried out inspections regular around the constabularies police stations and HQs Provided MI in both roles and both police and civilian staff managers. During my time with the constabulary I attended the CIPD Professional standards program at Ipswich University college between 1997 and 2000 - graduating in the October of that year. Still a Associate member the CIPD.

Varying

Varying courses attending during my career - both specialist trade training and basic military skills. General admin roles included registry work, allowances and payroll, disciplinary and courts Martial preps, promotion to Cpl in 1986. Postings in UK, Germany and Falklands. Completed CPP as my resettlement course on leaving in 1996 hence why I continued CIPD studies.
