My position within this company is a general run down of international shipments within the business of the west-end of London. Writing up orders, chasing up information for shippers via email or telephone. Occasionally liaising with other courier groups updating the status as well as ongoing deliveries and delays. A competitive business, Multi-tasking and time-management along with prioritising tasks are but a few of the skills i have acquired.

After just 7 months as a Customer Co-ordinator, I was offered the opportunity to move into the role of CSL Planner, a role which holds much more responsibility. Tasks include, but are not limited to:• Planning work for field resources and schedule work where appropriate, ensuring job details are sufficient to allow the field team to complete activities successfully;• Communicate with Highway Authorities and respond to any modifications to traffic management permits;• Co-ordinate with Risk Analysts for Permission To Work (PTW), ensuring that pre-requisite activities are completed and jobs raised incorrectly are resolved effectively; • Manage requests on complicated field activity and subsequent response(s);• Validate information received from Customer Co-ordinators using GIS, SAP and Google Maps to ensure that repairs are set up accordingly, including correct prioritisation based on leakage/network impact;• Ensure that the job is completed with the original notice raised and where an extension is required, inform the council and seek necessary extension.

In this role I was responsible for both making and receiving telephone calls to/from customers to book appointments to enable the repair teams to assist in resolving any leakage issues in their pipework. I would provide feedback concerning the customers experience to facilitate continuous improvement and maintain quality standards. It was important to ensure that contact was maintained at all times between both customers and internal departments to ensure progress updates and circumstance changes were communicated effectively. The role demands excellent customer service skills, a polite telephone manner, the ability to prioritise tasks and outstanding attention to detail.

My main duties include building light fittings and preparing them for installations in showrooms and shopping centres. I arrange a daily stock check and enter the results on a Sage system. Occasionally, I handle the logistics of these fittings to send to customers both nationally and internationally.

In this role, within the fine foods sector, I was responsible for stock management and control in the warehouse. This included the accurate completion of all paper work and online records when moving stock and receiving and dispatching deliveries. I also ensured the strictest standards of hygiene and safety were upheld. As a Samples Administrator, I handled the dispatch and delivery of goods going to present and future clients. Throughout this role I was given to opportunity to prove my abilities as an administrator and as a team player, consistently helping to develop colleagues and assisting with new procedure implementation.

It was my responsibility to examine and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. I would also review documents, such as delivery schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine or organise the correct delivery or redelivery of parcels or materials. I would confer with establishment personnel, drivers or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and resolve complaints and eliminate delays. Working as a team we ensured items were processed out for couriers to deliver on time.Working to short time constraints I would also track down any parcels within the depot, which had remained there for more than seven days, needing to be “Returned to Sender”. Knowledge of security measures on various import and export cargo and the regulation restrictions is imperative to the operation.

My key responsibility was the effective delegation of tasks to ensure the optimum operation standards were achieved.My duties included opening and closing of the store and completing daily stock checks and stock movement. I also handled the financial duties such as banking and till counting. Completing health and safety checks on any important alloy rungs and attachments for span towers was an important aspect of the role. Demonstrating excellent product and services knowledge I would advise customers on their equipment and supply information and products to private customers and contractors. Further to this, I would test and run any products that have been returned by customers in order to minimise loss and complete a maintenance schedule.
