As Uponor’s UK product management lead for plumbing products and applications, I am responsible for driving and delivering product strategy, engaging with the marketplace – including engineers, installers, architects, developers and end users – managing new product launches and providing technical support to both Uponor’s customers and our internal team.My role as applications specialist includes responsibility for supporting Uponor’s sales team and our client base, from first enquiry through to specification and installation. I take a solutions-driven approach to helping specifiers select the right products and most appropriate configuration for the needs of the building and the end user, with a focus on efficiency, cost management, service life and health & safety. My remit includes technical specification and ongoing technical support throughout the lifecycle of the project, including training schedules for installation teams on site.The product management element of my role includes responsibility for ensuring that Uponor’s UK plumbing portfolio is aligned to market requirements and expectations and I also have product management responsibility for Uponor’s MLC (multi-layer composite) and PEX plumbing ranges.
