I have been doing Hud and REO homes since 2003 on and off. From evictions, lock changes to removing vehicals, my experience is vast in this field. Its very unfortunate that this business has been going strong (from a home owners view) but like they say, "someone has to do it" i am thankful that im the one doing it. I love doing this, its almost like every home you walk into, it tells a story. And i couldnt picture myself doing anything different.I started out by doing "odds and ends" jobs for golden feather realty (hud contract holder). For example; my first job for them was to prime and paint a front porch in lancaster, pa. Then i completed a trashout in boiling springs, pa. Little did i know that, i was setting myself up for "the bigtime". I went about this for a couple of years while working fulltime pipefitting jobs.In 2006 a national asset company called me about becoming a REO vendor for them. Well, i got ahold of the hud quidlines & allowables, studied, passed their test and here i am today. To me, this is a rewarding career, i am thankful for a supportive wife who allowed me to pursue this, and as i said before, i couldnt image doing anything different.
