During that time, we have developed proven processes and techniques to help minimize building system issues in existing facilities.Senior Technical Director Dave McFarlane is a pioneer in the industry. Involved with the NEBB Building System Commissioning committee from 2000 to 2011, Mr. McFarlane has helped to establish the national standards and processes. He has also coauthored numerous magazine articles as well as commissioning and retro-commissioning manuals. Mr. McFarlane coauthored and helped develop and write NEBB's procedural standards on the Retro-Commissioning Process for Existing Buildings. He has been an instructor for NEBB's Retro-Commissioning and Commissioning Seminars. He also speaks and regional and national conventions on these two topicsTechnical Commissioning Atkins professionals have been involved in the Technical Commissioning process for over 25 years, well before the word “Commissioning” became a buzz word in the construction process. We literally helped write the book on Technical Commissioning. Dave McFarlane who leads the BPG co-authored the National Environmental Balancing Bureau’s (NEBB) Procedural Standards on Whole Building Commissioning, Handbook on Design Phase Commissioning and the Procedural Standards for the Retro-Commissioning of Existing Buildings. Mr. McFarlane also published a series of nine articles on the technical commissioning process that can improve the delivery of new construction project. This series was published in the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (ASHRAE) journal over a 20 month period in 2013-2015
