Oversee IT/Communication operations at eight distribution centers located throughout the US. Manage eight person department, including Help Desk, MPLS Network, Technical Support and E-commerce web sites, and administer the overall policies and goals for the Information Technology Department. Analyze the technological needs of all departments, coordinate requests for change, and manage all technological improvement projects. Selected, installed, implemented Wireless Warehouse in 40,000 Sq. ft. distribution center. Enhanced ability to streamline order picking, inventory receiving, and inventory management and cost of inventory data collection, resulting in increased efficiencies/effectiveness in Warehouse operations and reduced inventory. Eliminated thousands of keystrokes daily as inventory data is collected from dedicated handheld scanners or RF-enabled personal digital assistants (PDAs). Enabled transactions to be entered in real time, right where it happens. No Batch updates. Delivered faster recognition of production and inventory changes within center, drastic reduction of time spent at dedicated workstations, and improved accuracy of data input.Consolidated accounts receivable, inventory and customer information from three disparate M&A systems into Corporate ERP system. Reviewed operating procedures of each organization to identify potential areas of conflict. Brought impacted stakeholders from each entity together to agree upon a common goal and determine strategies, tactics, organizational structure and procedures to meet the goal.
