Dave started as a player and quickly added event crew, referee, coach and team manager to his skill set and regularly undertook all of these roles on the NZ Pro Beach Tour. After moving to the UK, Dave became Tournament Director and then Tour Director of the English National Tour. Working on bigger events followed with the Junior World Championships, World Tour, Commonwealth Games, Senior World Championships, German Championships, Swedish Championships, European Championships and King of the Court. And most recently Dave created and managed a new National Tour in New Zealand which was hugely successful.

Winter Ski Season - Responsibility for the chalet, guests and staff team- Management of the daily operation of the chalet to ensure it is kept well functioning, well equipped, clean, organised and welcoming.- Management of the staff team including regular progress reviews and supervisions and ensuring they are well supported and taken care of.- Management of all aspects of the guests experience from arrival to departure including transfers, ski hire, lift passes, lessons, skiing routes and other mountain activities, rooming, meals, childcare, evening entertainment, troubleshooting and any specific needs guests may have. Outside of Season- Maintenance and improvements across 4 chalets - Developed and implemented clear management and operational systems for future seasons- Designed and planned major chalet refurbishments and modifications with the French chalet owners.- Managed refurbishments and modifications to ensure the company’s needs were best met in the improvements undertaken.- Supported the summer staff team in delivering exceptional holidays over the 2 month summer season including driving, maintenance, managerial support, health and safety, cooking weekly BBQs, providing weekly campfires.Business Development- Visit and assess both resorts looking at all aspects of the business and advising on areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and ideas for new markets and new products along with streamlining operational procedures across all resorts and head office.

-Member of the venue logistics team for the largest venue of the 2018 Commonwealth Games (Metricon Stadium)-Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Athletics, Badminton, Wrestling, Powerlifting and Para Powerlifting.-Member of the Technical Operations Team for Beach Volleyball.

London, United Kingdom

- Management of the daily operation, security, and health & safety of 3 large buildings in a strategic Church of England parish in central London- Core member of Events Team, delivering over 900 annual events across the buildings, attended by over 170 000 people per year- Recruitment, line management, training and mentoring of full time Event Assistants team- Maintenance and management of the parish assets and facilities in conjunction with the buildings team- Key member of Olympic Sports Cafe planning team and subsequently led the implementation of the cafe including sourcing all suppliers and equipment and managing over 200 volunteers and thousands of guests during a 3 week period in summer 2012. Over 30 000 bottles of water given out!

United Kingdom

- Personal manager to Charlie Webster for her 7 day 250 mile challenge running between 40 football clubs, raising over £100,000 for Women’s Aid and awareness about domestic violence- Single point of contact for all stakeholders including the charity, sponsors and partners- Wrote operational guidelines for the challenge- Recruitment and management of the support crew- Managed all logistics during the challenge

United Kingdom

- Tour Director 2011 & 2012 – planning, delivery and oversight of the English National Beach Volleyball Tour including volunteer recruitment and management, writing event and tour guidelines, player handbook and code of conduct, liaising with event promoters and councils, marketing, sourcing sponsorship, and leading the management team. - Tournament Director 2011 & 2012 – managing tournaments from start to finish, briefing players and officials, managing all staff and volunteers, and liaising with and hosting sponsors and local dignitaries. - Operations 2008 - 2012 – managing site planning, building, maintaining and dismantling in conjunction with local councils, liaising with contractors, film crews and sponsors; managing staff and volunteers, packing, maintaining and transporting equipment.- Producer 2011 & 2012 – working with film crews to produce sporting events into a full showcase for TV. Directing TV presenters, announcers, DJs, dancers, crowd entertainment, and the athletes and officials, all to a strict schedule for TV.

- Key member of the “sand crew”, who are the core group of 6 essential staff responsible for the delivery of the New Zealand Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. - Referee, gained my National Refereeing certificate and named number 1 referee on the Tour. Included refereeing some of the world’s top players live on national TV.

North Webster, Indiana, Usa

- Host and Activity Instructor for the year round school outdoor programs of a 275 bed camp- Teen Program Director and Land Sports Manager for the 10 weeks of summer camp- Co-recruited and managed a summer staff of 55 college students from around the world- Oversaw all the IT and media including setting up a small radio station

- Hosted school groups- Instructed low ropes, wall climbing and abseiling- Managed cleaning and maintenance- Assisted with food preparation and service- Improved the hygiene and cleaning systems- Produced a new advertising brochure and branded clothing (including staff uniforms)
