Researcher and instructor in aircraft handling qualities for airplanes and rotorcraft. Until recently an academic instructor for the US Air Force Test Pilot School, and for the International Test Pilots School in Canada, in feedback control systems and handling qualities evaluation. Fellow and 50-year member, AIAA; recipient of the 2024 AIAA Mechanics and Control of Flight award. Lifetime Member and Chair of the Technical Council for the Society of Flight Test Engineers, and member of the Vertical Flight Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Active with the Long Beach Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
