I started my career in manufacturing in 1990 as a maintenance technician for Simpson Industries, I progressed thru the maintenance department. Then becoming a electronic technician expanding my capabilities to PLC code, and servo trouble shooting of machines. During these 10 years of floor work I attended Ivy Tech for a 2 year degree and furthered my industrial knowledge by attending several vendor training courses. I then advanced to Maintenance Supervisor for a few years and then was offered the opportunity to become Maintenance Manager with another company. While I was Maintenance manager at GT Tech, I was involved with several different types of opportunities. I was in charge of several different locations where I was able to expand facilities, merge several facilities into 1 location and develop apprenticeship programs for the company. I have been fortunate enough to travel the US and several of shore countries as I was in charge of machine development and design. I have been very fortunate in my career to have worked from the ground up, in the past 30 years I have been able to work on equipment, facilities, project management, build additions to plants, merge plants, and develop people under me. During these 30 years I have worked in several different types of manufacturing for the auto world to include, internal engine components, chassis and transmission, high speed assembly, machining, stamping, high precision grinding, and testing of products. I have worked for smaller companies and large corporations plants doing 2 -3 million dollars per month to plants doing 80 - 85 million per month in sales. I continue to enjoy the postion as it offers me something new all the time.
