I was eight-years-old when my father handed me his coveted KISS’ Double Platinum album. This would spark the musical fire within me which has burned for nearly two decades. From 3rd grade concert band to the advanced study of jazz theory and history, my love for music has never dimmed. My diverse background within the industry is the result of 20 years of musical study. I am a writer for NYS Music and bring a unique blend of instrumental, lyrical and cultural perspectives to my news pieces, reviews and interviews, which helped increase site traffic since being on boarded three years ago. I help bring aspiring artists into the lime light and report on the marketing and monetary shifts moving throughout the industry such as the use of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. I am also a musical creator and performer. The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a weekly family concert series has been my creative outlet for two years. My musical experiences have me lead a somewhat solitary life, but my day job at a School Readiness Program has taught me to collaborate with others and how to function in a corporate setting. I may be an educator, but I am no stranger to strategic planning, client relations, drafting correspondence, data entry and email\phone conversations.
