I thrive when collaborating with others at the nexus of policy and politics to drive change. I believe systematic, equitable change requires authentic community engagement to build and exercise political power. I enjoy moving between minute policy details and high-level strategy. As an advocate, I’ve guided teams through all stages of creating and securing new public policy–from policy research and development to building coalitions, electing policymakers, drafting legislation, lobbying, and developing and executing issue advocacy campaigns. As a consultant, I support governmental agencies, nonprofits, and foundations in building a more coherent K12 education field and positioning themselves for success through strategic planning, grant writing, facilitating cross-sector dialogue, and piloting innovations.
