Performed plan review and acceptance testing of fire alarm systems and underground storage tanks as part of the fire department's fire prevention office.Held certification as a North Carolina Level III Fire Inspector and would conduct and assist deputy fire marshals with annual fire inspections of all occupancy types in the city limits. This included hotels, hospitals, and nursing homes.Participated in fire code revisions with the North Carolina Department of Insurance and help revise tests for future fire inspectors.Worked with the city building department’s developmental planning group to ensure proper fire protection was implemented for new construction.
