Responsible for long range planning and strategic initiatives for the Foundation. Maintain stewardship of the Board of Trustees managing the Foundation’s staff and working with the university’s administration and academic leadership to ensure that the Foundation Board understands their priorities and where the Foundation can help them achieve those priorities. Reports to the President of the Foundation and staffs the Foundation Board of Trustees and various committees. Responsible to help make sure that all trustees remain engaged with the Foundation and the University. Responsible for Board education, stewardship, communication and ensuring that trustees have the information that they need to provide good counsel at the committee level as well as at the board level. Responsible to help the Foundation president ensure that the Board of Trustees are aware of the needs and direction that the Board of Visitors is taking.

Work directly with president of the Foundation, Board of Trustees, and Board committees to develop sound fiscal policies, generate budgets, and determine best utilization of Foundation assets. Oversee $51 million endowment portfolio, $24 million temporarily restricted portfolio, $6 million in trust assets, $5 million unrestricted fund and a $100 million real estate portfolio. Develop and manage $14 million annual budget. Prepare all internal and external financial reports. Manage accounting department staff. Work with and advise University administrator’s on real estate development options as well as financing structures and options
