I am pursuing a career in the medical field because I'm attracted to the role of the modern physician. I have yet to find another position that can so impact a life in so many avenues--physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychological. Holistic care is something that I have witnessed first hand while shadowing and volunteering and the thought of reaching others at the point of their needs reinforces my drive to continue pursuing a future in medicine.Having recently obtained my bachelor's degree in cellular biology, I am used to microscopic detail. And if my education has taught me one thing, it is that it is injurious to miss the big picture. Nevertheless, my mechanistic mindset pushes me to have a deeper understanding of the realm that I have grown to love. My dedication to excellence often accompanies a level of passion that affects other areas of my life, besides academics. I push myself to be better than I thought I could be. With a strong desire to learn and an extensive background in corporate interpersonal communication, my clinical and nonclinical experience can build upon this solid foundation that will better prepare me for a career in the healthcare field.
