After 16 years in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard working in a variety of jobs, I left with the dream to work with my father in the thermal spray industry. He started a small company marketing an early line of metalizing equipment and as the business grew, I was able to join him and spend many years learning the ins and outs of the industry. We began to manufacture our own equipment, focusing almost entirely on creating dependable, easy to use machines, designed with the operator in mind.My responsibilities have included sales, manufacturing, design, training, and technical support. I am active in industry organizations, including SSPC, where I have served on thermal spray committees (CS 23 and QP6) and conducted presentations at chapter meetings. I have presented papers at industry conferences and have published several articles on corrosion control with thermal spray. I am also a member of NACE and AWS.15 years ago, I diversified our product line to include not only a robust collection of our own thermal spray equipment, but also equipment from Metallisation Ltd. a U.K based company. Through this strategic relationship we became able to offer the largest, most diverse line of thermal spray equipment in North America.
