In recent times, I have focused primarily on building the capacity to respond cheaply and quickly in early bid stages and in small value bids. I created and developed a successful team using both onshore and offshore members.

Working in a virtual team for each opportunity, I developed solutions, costing, pricing and client response material for outsourced IT solutions. Contract sizes varied from millions to hundreds of millions of pounds. The exact nature of the role varying according to the nature of the opportunity.

I managed our Birmingham data centre where around 120 team members with a range of skillsets provided services to about 25 clients. I had full responsibility for the staff, the physical environment and the computer equipment. I had P&L responsibility for the centre and the services delivered from it. Managing the client relationship for a wide range of clients in relation to the delivery of outsource IT services. I ensured that Capgemini services were delivered both to the contracted service level and to clients’ satisfaction. I managed the commercial relationship, administering contracts and invoicing. I maintained happy client relationships, ensuring a number of renewals and extensions.
