I'm not a golfer. When my friends hit the links, I hit the keyboard. I love the challenge of writing a piece of software to help prevent waste and improve efficiencies. I have led, directed, and written software to solve operational challenges for various industries, from education to banking to medical to manufacturing. Much of the software I've written has become a standalone product used to measure and track operational metrics. While SasS stands for Software as a Service, I prefer to think of it as Software as a Solution.I recognized the value software provides while writing programs for labor-intensive furniture manufacturers - who were still using spreadsheets to manage production. Those manufacturers were struggling with: ► Low operational efficiencies ► High labor costs ► Low units per hour► High PPMsSoftware, when done right, can monitor and track these metrics, so companies improve. At nGROUP, we help our customers exceed their key performance indicators (KPI) with our SaaS program called nSITE. nSITE MEASURES ► Productivity by employee ► Units produced by person, line, and department► Labor down-time► Time and attendance► Training and skill level by employeenSITE measures these metrics (and more) in real-time. Imagine how this could improve your labor-intensive operations. nSITE helps companies in various industries that utilize distribution centers, warehouses, cross-docks, or fulfillment centers to meet their customers' needs. nSITE is especially useful for manufacturing and assembly companies that engage in operations such as:► Picking and packing► Cross-docking► Reverse logistics► Fresh food packaging► Receiving and replenishmentIf your organization struggles to meet its distribution and warehousing KPIs or to keep track of employee labor and training, reach out, and I'll get you in touch with one of our sales reps.

Executive Vice President Of TechnologyNgroup Dec 2013 - PresentFort Mill, Sc, UsCapturing accurate metrics is a significant challenge for labor-intensive operations such as distribution centers, warehouses, fulfillment centers, and manufacturing.Knowing when employees clock in is one thing but understanding how long it takes from clock-in to starting work requires next-level metrics and tracking. As the Vice President of technology at nGroup, this is what my team and I help enable. At nGroup, we've built a complete system for tracking next-level lean manufacturing and six sigma metrics. Our SaaS product, nSite, utilizes near-field technology to accurately track a variety of metrics for labor-intensive operations such as: ► Real-time labor► Productivity by employee ► Units produced by person, line, and department► Labor down-time► Time and attendanceWith real-time updates, the nSite Dashboard helps managers quickly diagnose the root cause of labor challenges and machine downtime. To enable managers to deploy labor based on skill level, we built a program called nGroup U. nGroup U empowers employees to increase their skills and earn certifications in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. If your organization struggles to track its distribution and warehousing metrics or find and deploy the right labor workforce to achieve your goals, let's talk. -

Co-FounderAuthorloyalty Nov 2018 - PresentMy AuthorLoyalty co-founder is an author. He has written over fourteen books. The problem that led to the creation of AuthoryLoyalty is that as an author has difficulties calculating royalties off multiple platforms, and its difficult to market books as a small or independent publisher. You only find out every six months when you get a royalty check form your publisher. AuthorLoyalty is a web-based platform designed to help self-published authors understand the number of books they've sold while also assisting publishers in managing their royalty payment system. The software, RightsMage, makes calculating royalty payments simple. The software calculates percentages owed to all parties taking into account printing costs, book distribution, currency conversions, royalty splits, holdbacks, and more. -
President/CioDashtek Jan 2005 - Jan 2021Looking back, Dashtek prepared me for my role at nGROUP. Dashtek was initially a consulting only business. My co-founder and I started the company to help companies configure their network servers. We were working primarily with furniture manufacturers like Ashley and Broyhill Furniture. Once we had their servers set up correctly, they asked if we could also help with their operations. At the time, the companies had very manual processes for managing their factory floor. Everything was on spreadsheets, and many operations needed multiple people where, with the right software solution, one would do. To eliminate all of the manual operations, we built a custom software (SaaS) solution. Our SaaS product took our clients from spreadsheets to an automated system with a dashboard enabling them to manage the entire production floor from order to shipment. The Dasktek software helped our clients save on average $250K annually by: ⇨ Knowing what and when to build⇨ Tracking inventory levels⇨ Buying supplied materials in the right quantities⇨ Redeploying labor to other areas Many of the insights gained from Dasktek and building our SaaS product ultimately helped me develop the solution we use at nGROUP today. -
Vice President Of TechnologyLearningstation Apr 2001 - Dec 2005LearningStation (now defunct) was one of the first software as a service companies. At the time, however, SaaS was called ASP or Application Service Providers. As the Vice President of Technology, I led the development of a Citrix web-based application management platform for K-12 schools.Schools were struggling to manage software installations both on local servers and machines. They had to keep track of which teachers were receiving what software, and they needed to ensure each installation was up to date. Additionally, they needed to maintain all of the licenses, which was cost-prohibitive and limited their software choices. Our SaaS product allowed school districts to manage all of their software via the cloud. Teachers could log in with their assigned credentials, and our application would allow them to run the required software from the cloud without installing it directly on the machine. By the time I left LearningStation, all of the K-12 school districts in Arizona and Kansas were using our software to manage over 60 plus applications customized to meet each district and school's needs. The software won multiple awards including: ▶ The Pioneering award from EdNET▶ Awards Portfolio for Media & Method▶ The Empowered Education™ Initiative Award from Sprint▶ Certified Data Center Award for Microsoft
