I was responsible for the UK and Belgium businesses with 300 people and covering all aspects of running an engineering company - manufacturing, logistics, sales and engineering.During this time I lead the UK plant turn around by undertaking a restructure of the organisation with emphasis on people and their development this lead to stepped improvements to customer satisfaction and financial performance.

I had the Product and Project Management responsibility for the European region. During this period the period my responsibility increased taking onboard marketing, sales and engineering totalling a team of 40 people.

Initially a stand alone role, reporting to the sales director, this was the technical owner role and provided a link between sales and engineering. It evolved over time to include marketing and a portion of sales.

The NETP is a not-for-profit limited company that is a collaboration of engineering companies and the University of Northampton providing undergraduate industrial placements and the promotion of engineering. During my tenure I held the chair, mentored students, gave seminars and supported the University in assessing and validating their engineering course content.
