I'm a big believer in 'there is probably a better way'. I am always searching for purpose, to help others find a better way, and to enjoy the work we do. I really love being on stage telling stories, hosting podcasts (Tech Seeking Human), running workshops, talking to customers to extract the best stories. Any opportunity to influence people, to help them work with purpose, to find a better way. I lead a product marketing team that is redefining an industry because, it's challenging. I've been an AI evangelist, a marketing leader, keynote speaker and even a published musician. In my career I've traveled the world, with my family, and had experience in Asia, Europe and the US. The bulk of my career was at Dynatrace, where I was head of Marketing, and was responsible for repositioning the company from a legacy, multi-product, brand, to cloud first, AI-powered, SaaS growth platform. This included repositioning for our IPO in 2019. We developer a new brand, vision, company mission, purpose, platform positioning, and execution, internally. Our vision, I wrote one morning over a coffee with a colleague, because we felt we needed it. It still exists, and when we IPO'd, seeing it on the NYSE, it was an extremely proud moment. Personally I’m a believer that if you want to understand people, and things, you need to get close to what they do and how it works. Which means I try it. Demo technical products? Write blogs? Hand code emails? I even started a website business once where I built, designed, marketed and supported sites. I build teams that are encouraged to experiment, are autonomous with context, and can scale. Right now I'm running all the major experience analytics and observability software in my websites and apps, just to understand how they work. I don't just talk, I do it. Which means I can relate to a lot of different people, in a lot of different roles, and can help them find 'a better way'.
