I manage the Vegetation Management unit for Seattle's public electrical utility, which covers Transmission Rights-of-Ways, Distribution Line Clearance, Landscapes/Substations and Utility Urban Forestry. I also serve as the Sr. Manager over the utility’s 900+ vehicle Fleets and Mobile Equipment unit.

- Oversees four programs for Seattle City Light's Transmission and Distributions Operations group including the Transmission Right-of-Way Maintenance Program, Distribution Power-Line Clearance Program, Landscapes Management Program and Urban Forestry Program. This includes the management of a team of 27 employees represented across three unions and oversight of 30-40 contractors. Executes an $8 million annual O&M and $5 million annual CIP budget.

Greater Seattle Area

I supervise Seattle City Light's Distribution Power Line Clearance Program, Urban Tree Replacement Program, Transmission Right-of-Way Maintenance Program, as well as our plant ecologist and Arboriculturists. I also serve as Co-Chair of City Light's Race and Social Justice Change Team and represent the utility on the City of Seattle's Urban Forestry Inter-Departmental Team and the Urban-Forestry Core Team, and the Emergency Management Team.

I am responsible for managing SCL's Urban Tree Replacement Program, responding to tree related client concerns and questions, and advancing the responsible, arboriculturally correct care of trees which impact the utility’s power delivery systems.

Greater Seattle Area

I founded and operated the Seattle area's first Recreational Tree Climbing company. We facilitate rope-and-saddle tree climbing experiences for people of all ages and abilities to introduce them to the upper canopy and to foster stewardship of large trees. We hold open-to-the-public climbs monthly from April-Nov, work with summer camps, hold private group climbs as well as individual and small-group climbs.

• Responsible for safety, training, efficiency and quality control for multiple 3-4 man crews.-Increased crew productivity by 18% in 12 months.-Created/implemented company safety program focused on continuing education.-Oversaw significant decreases in property damage/dissatisfied clients and reduced reportable on-the-job injuries to zero over 22 month period.

• Provided support to 100+ member Global Tourism Team.-Key themes included impact monitoring and evaluation (M&E), best practice dissemination, technical capacity building and Web 2.0 product development.-Represented the program at inter-agency forums, coordinated inter-programmatic learning initiatives.-Researched and drafted an M&E framework for CI Ecotourism and authored a chapter for a joint CI/USAID technical training manual on the Value Chain Approach to tourism and development.
