Experienced trainer, communications specialist, and technical editor. For the past 3 years, I was employed at Medtronic Corporation, a medical device company based in Santa Rosa, CA. My primary duties included 1) writing a departmental newsletter 2) tracking department milestones, 3) facilitating meetings, and 4) proofreading medical device documents and artwork. My daily routine included downloading various elements from Map Agile or Prisym 306, then correlating them against Excel and Word source documents. I regularly use Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, PowerPoint and Excel in my work. As our team meets regularly on both Zoom and MS Teams, I am very familiar with setting up and facilitating online meetings, creating break-out rooms, etc. Before Medtronic, for over 25 years I have run and managed my own company, Dr. Clue, a teambuilding company specializing in experiential treasure hunts. During this time, my staff and I have written, researched and performed over 1,000 training programs, domestically and worldwide. This is a very detailed-oriented job; training materials simply cannot have mistakes! Along with in-person trainings, I have also delivered a large number of “virtual programs” on Zoom, again requiring tech expertise, break-out room creation, etc. Entrepreneurs are interesting people; we wear so many hats! As the owner of Dr. Clue, I facilitate, write, present, manage, prepare program & marketing materials, perform sales, create surveys and adapt to constant change. I consider myself both a puzzle lover and a puzzle solver.
