Responsible for carrying out service modifications, servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs, including scheduled and reactive maintenance, as part of the H4 heavy overhaul project for the Virgin 390 Class Pendalino fleet trains, in a LEAN environment. Assembling major components and sub-assemblies to close tolerances, in accordance with manufacturer’s drawings prior to installation. This includes the installation of running gear e.g. bogies (Wheels and axles), actuators, electrical traction motors, pumps, filters, pneumatic suspension, hydraulic and transmission systems.
