As director of the Rapid Learning Institute, David was responsible for developing a full curriculum of Lean Processing courses from 5S Workplace Organization to Kaizen (or Rapid Learning Events). David then was responsible for the selection and development of the Lean Training Team that would consult and facilitate Lean Events for the members of the Southern California Training Council.

As a project specialist, David was responsible for assisting the organizations transition to a Team Based culture through the coaching and development of both Senior Staff and Middle Management, to front-line supervisors and employees. Facilitating teams on the organizations strategies, team objectives, team member roles, and education in Teamwork, Team Building, and Continuous Improvement. Teams were also utilized to implement ISO 9000 Quality Initiatives in addition to Lean Manufacturing Techniques. David logged over 6,000 hours of team facilitation time at all levels of the organization. During this time, Steelcase had been acknowledged as being on of the TOP 100 Companies to work for in addition to being frequently benchmarked in the area of Best Practices and had Earned Californias' Govenors Sterling Award on Quality.
