MedAcuity is a software engineering consulting firm specializing in the medical industry. As a consultant at this company for nearly eight years, it was my job to work directly with clients to build efficient, FDA compliant, well-documented, fully tested software that is both safe for patients and easy for clinicians to use. But beyond just coding, an important part of my job was also to help clients flesh out their requirements by getting a solid understanding of the product and what the client is seeking to accomplish. Not only did I help ensure these needs were reflected in product requirements, but I also worked directly with the team (and other teams) as a SCRUM leader using Agile methodologies to ensure the work got done on time while avoiding team burnout.I was assigned to seven clients over my nearly eight years at MedAcuity. Projects would last anywhere from a few months to a few years each. Unfortunately I cannot share the specific names of my clients or the types of products they were working on for confidentiality reasons. However the technical skill sets involved range from setting up AWS infrastructure to working with databases to building out fully functional UI's in a variety of frameworks such as WPF (C#), UWP (C#), Angular (TypeScript), and Svelte (JavaScript).

- Designed and built an extensive and highly complex fully custom Access 2007 database from scratch using Visual Basic for Applications and SQL, allowing Seacology to fully digitize all of its project, finance, and contact information- Maintained current website by fixing bugs, posting updates, and creating new back-end (ColdFusion) and front-end (JavaScript) functionality- Leveraged FundRaiser donor database to track donor history and send highly targeted mailings- Managed Google AdWords advertising campaigns, doubling traffic to our website- Implemented Google Analytics on our website, allowing us to create and track goals, improve conversions, and gain insights into what drove our visitors to become donors- Sent monthly, graphic HTML email newsletters to over 2,000 donors (not their SPAM folders) using MailChimp- Answered phones and manned the front door, answering questions and building rapport with donors, visitors, and partner organizations

- Sliced a Photoshop document into a fully-functional HTML and CSS framework that served as the master template for the site.- Wrote the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript underlying the site's product page, registration page, and monetary deposit page- Used JavaScript and a customized jQuery library to build many of the site's moving parts, such as its pull-out menus on the right and the scrolling carousel menu on the bottom of every page- Performed cross-browser testing, and wrote alternative CSS stylesheets that allowed the site to work in Internet Explorer- Used Photoshop to design the site's mobile interface, along with numerous graphics and icons

- Personally raised over $37,000 through direct one-on-one solicitation- Educated approximately 3,000 individuals one by one on issues pertaining to the environment and social justice- Aided Canvass Directors in training recruits

- Assisted in the writing and editing of a grant that placed MCN in the top twenty of an applicant pool of over 1,000- Planned regional Board meetings: created agendas, coordinated logistics, made presentations, and facilitated discussion - Reached out to potentially valuable contacts both in person and over the phone, adding them to contact database- Incorporated MCN and acquired 501(c)3 tax-exempt status through working with the IRS and successfully solicitingpro-bono legal counsel, allowing the organization to apply for various grants and give donors tax deductions
