Procurement and Probity Services: David has managed a considerable number of procurement initiatives and often provides probity services to ensure that good procurement practices are being followed.Project Management: Project Managed a variety of projects over the years across a number of industries. He has enjoyed considerable success in this discipline and has a reputation for delivering/exceeding customer expectations. General Management: David is the Managing Director of Gemtech and is therefore well versed in general management duties. In his capacity of Managing Director, David has managed up to thirty staff members and many contractors. Banking Payment Systems: Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) was introduced into New Zealand in 1998 and David project managed this significant change to New Zealand’s payment interchange system on behalf of the banking industry, working closely with the Reserve Bank. Credit Risk Management: A number of banking industry projects that David has been involved with have involved credit risk management components. David is very familiar with credit risk scoring techniques and systems. Business Plan Development: On a number of occasions David has been engaged to prepare a Business Case for a new system or product. David has a flair for financial modelling and is able to employ these skills into testing the viability of new or changing business requirements. Government and the Public Sector: David has delivered many outcomes for government and fully appreciates the rigor and accountability requirements of managing projects that are likely to be carefully scrutinised by an independent party. Quality Assurance: Given the huge array of skills that David as amassed, his services are often utilised by Gemtech’s Assurance Services practice. David has on-going involvement in the quality assurance of key projects for a selection of government
