About David G.

Growing up with Deaf parents gave me opportunities that ordinary people miss out on.I’ve worn many hats in my career – International Aid Volunteer, CEO, Company Chair, Member of Parliament, Not for Profit Director, Newspaper Executive, Army Officer and strategist. In these roles, I have focused on operational management, economic development, regulatory reform, and government relations as well as community engagement and stakeholder relations. Successes have included the Mary Valley Economic Development strategy being listed as a finalist for the Property Council of Australia 2015 Innovation Awards and the Living My Best Life project being listed as a finalist in the Innovation category for the 2022 Mental Health Awards.I learnt early on in my career that what motivates me is working with people. With more than 25 years’ of experience in management and communications. Driven by my talents, I enjoy helping others to achieve difficult-to-reach goals. Colleagues know me as a strategic thinker who can sort through the clutter, assesses the situation and identify new opportunities.Exceptional leadership communication skills and a personable nature enable the formation of strong relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders with a proven ability to build highly productive relationships, gaining consensus amongst groups with often differing agendas.I enjoy making new professional connections. Reach out if you want to talk and if I can’t be of service I may know of others who can meet your needs.
