Currently serving with wife Tracy as full-time volunteers on the staff of the World Centre of the Baha'i Faith in Haifa, Israel. Service includes interacting with Israeli government officials, the diplomatic corps and civil society.Retired from broadcasting in 2017 after a 41 year career, which included nearly 24 years as Chief Meteorologist for KSNW TV, in Wichita, KS. Member of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and winner of the 2016 Distinguished Service Award.Past President of the National Weather Association and was frequently called upon to contribute to national dialogue on governmental severe weather policy, to share expertise in broadcast weather and severe weather coverage, and to consult with companies in broadcasting and weather services. Also past member of the Board of Directors of the National Weather Association Foundation, providing support for students and teachers in meteorology.
