Taking control of Purchasing activities during the pandemic meant rapid reaction to an unstable and ever changing supply chain. Working with the team to ensure continuity of supply under unprecedented conditions has proven to be one of the greatest challenges so far.Being included in the rapid response team that reacted and quickly supplied test equipment into the Ventilator Challenge UK in the early days of COVID was a huge challenge but extremely rewarded. It also taught some valuable lessons about how much we can actually achieve when the stakes are high. Working as a key part of the team to introduce a new ERP suite involved a systems and process based approach to a difficult and time consuming problem with many (sometime reluctant) stakeholders.Having learned the role quickly, has delivered substantial cost reductions despite the most turbulent market conditions in decades, keeping the Company on a level playing field with developing and emerging markets.

Overall responsibility for all Project Management activities and the activities of the Installations Department and Customer touch point for the entire business. Leading a successful team in the everyday tasks of Project Management (provision and maintenance of timing plans, budgets and issues decks etc) but also heading up the livelier side of things where there were urgent or unforeseen problems to solve or stakeholder conflicts. I have always taken pride in finding a solution where others see none. Position included rapid expansion of the Projects Department to accommodate unprecedent short term increase in turnover. This involved building and leading a team to manage and install the largest single order the Company has ever had, in country we'd never worked in before, with (some) machines we'd not built before. Delivering this project to time and budget targets was a staggering and rewarding experience.

Employed permanently into a Supervisors position courtesy of a successful period of Contracting. Duties include the ongoing management of Projects, plus the supervision and control of all projects, including those managed by other Project Managers. Responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors and for attending Management Meetings to ensure success of all Projects. Supervisor position includes the introduction of new systems (and the deletion of some old systems) to streamline work flow and accomodate a 12 month increase in turnover of approximately 75%

Sub-Contracting to JW Froehlich in order to provide Project Management services. Working primarily on the supply of a suite of machinery to assemble and test the new Fox engine in Ford Koln and Craiova. Duties include provision and maintenance of timing plans, project budgets and issue decks. Control of resources and customer activities including the monitoring of changes and provision of additional order coverage for changes which step outside the scope of supply.

Responsible for site survey, drafting, 3D modelling, 2D detailling and presentation / reviews to the Customer and end user. Taking Customer 3D models and interrogating the product in order to support / assemble the product during the requirement manufacturing phase.Design work carried out using IDEAS (modelling and 2D detailling), AutoCAD (some 2D design), VisMockup (Customer product interrogation) and laterly some use of CATIAProvision of User Manuals and documentation to support the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of equipment at the Customer's siteSite installation and commissioning support

Responsible for management of projects through quotation phase to installation. Projects mainly delivered to UK and Western Europe and range from £50K to £1M. Working with all departments of the Company to ensure equipment meets the Customer's requirements for function, cost, timing and quality. Management of budgets, resources and timing plans ensured Customer satisfaction. Heavily involved in Projects with Jaguar in the Midlands, including several durations of site installation and support

Working position taken as part of my University Degree course in order to spend at least 36 weeks working within my chosen industry. The position meant reporting directly to the R&D manager and having involvement in several existing and ongoing projects as well as being responsible for the introduction or new processes to the Company.Placement duration was extended to its fullest duration based on success and future prospects.
