For the first 7months I worked in the Canadian office providing support services to sales and marketing. In 1997 I returned to the UK to continue to create the support side of the organisation.I was responsible for European technical support and training. This covers pre and post sales support activities, the group assisted sales teams and distribution channels in pre sales qualifications and demonstrations. We also provided installation and support for our customers, and training on our products.My role included elements of sales, marketing and product management. I regularly attended conferences, seminars and speaking engagements in Europe, speaking on Voice over IP topics. I attended initial customer meetings to provide corporate presentations, overviews of product road maps and technical qualification. This process was often carried out on behalf of our channels.
