Dave Gruber is a cyber-security and network operations authority who has served as a senior level executive within the Department of Defense, Fortune 500 companies, and technology start-ups. He is a recognized expert in applying emerging and disruptive technologies to deal with and defeat cyber threats. His articles on cyber activities have been published by IEEE Network Magazine, USENIX Association Magazine, Signal magazine and Air University Center for Strategy and Technology. While in the DoD he was Director of Network Operations on the Air Staff in the Pentagon and later commanded a complex organization of over 1,200 personnel. As a corporate executive, he oversaw a staff of over 110 people in three major locations and had the responsibility to fly and operate satellite systems. Dave is an electrical engineer with extensive experience in fielding/operating complex, terrestrial and satellite networks. He has broad experience as a chief information officer, general manager with profit and loss responsibilities, engineering manager, program capture lead and business development lead. Dave was also elected as by the citizens of Aurora, Colorado, the third largest city in the State, to serve as a city council member at-large. While in that office, Dave chaired the city’s Management and Finance Committee overseeing a billion-dollar budget and the Public Safety Committee.
