Led multiple projects to completion for DewMaker Design, Inc. Reported directly to CEO with project responsibilities for the Test, Development and DevOps teams. The LiveSwitch.com video conferencing solution was the primary project.

Reported directly to COO with oversight responsibility for 30 employees, including IT engineers, project coordinators, graphics designers and computer operations staff. Responsible for custom client development, internal IT improvements, and external product offerings. Maintained security around clients’ PII data via security development lifecycle and data retention policies. Developed new projects and initiatives to delight our clients, maximize technical efficiency, and support critical business operations.

Directed operations and architecture design for the Toshiba Virtual Desktop Service and other projects. Developed policies, procedures, and security protocols. Provided feedback to and strategized with HQ in Japan to support multi-tenancy and usability on global scale. Key Achievements ★ Deployed geo-redundant datacenters in San Jose, CA and Sterling, VA. ★ Maintained close working relationships with Nimble Storage, HP, Liquidware Labs, VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, F5, and Cisco.

Reported to the VP of Engineering with oversight of various R&D projects. Staff included responsibility for up to 13 software engineers, four operations engineers and three project managers, as well as various vendor relationships. Primary responsibility for producing visionary products and services in support of Toshiba’s position as the leader of notebook PCs. Key Achievements ★ Developed the strategy for Toshiba Central, Toshiba’s first Windows Store application, which enhanced our relationship marketing by integrating our social media platforms and customer support with product and accessory advertising. It was preinstalled globally on Toshiba retail notebooks. ★ Managed the Toshiba Centrio project from cradle-to-grave, which globally managed and automated all Toshiba notebook and tablet preinstall image builds. The system is deployed across 14 Toshiba and different ODM locations in six countries. My infrastructure team was responsible for the uptime and maintenance of this business-critical solution. ★ Introduced an Agile SDLC process utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server for the Toshiba Laptop Builder service, which helped enterprise customers customize and create their own preinstall image. ★ Developed and deployed SurfHere, a credit card-based WiFi service leveraging custom access point firmware. Deployed this multi-tenancy service to Barnes & Noble, Diedrich Coffee houses, UPS Stores, and 90+ McDonald’s restaurants in the Chicago area. ★ Pioneered the MyGuard service from concept to deployment by leveraging 3G technology for enhanced notebook security and anytime remote access. Resulted in 4 pending patents, successful CES demonstrations and sale of the technology to Novatel Wireless. ★ Led the software preinstall image for the Toshiba Magnia SG appliance servers. ★ Oversaw software engineering for the Toshiba Infinia Desktop to ensure UX quality and functionality for the InTouch module.
