At the same time operated a System Integration division called HMI (Hartmann Media Integration). Exclusive for Miranda from 1992-2000 putting them on the Map with breaking into the NBC account against Evertz, Ross, Leitch, GVG. Built NBC from 0 in '92 to 8mil in 2000. At that point Miranda put on direct sales manager and did every thing they could to stick me with the 250k of inventory I needed to service NBC account. This and a few other cheating companies made me decide to import my own products selling my own name. Hartmann Media Solutions Inc, started 3/81 as Hartmann Assoicates in New England, handling Exclusively Sound Technology Auudio Test Units.In 2002 Hartmann Associates changed its name to Hartmann Media Solutions and added another company called HMI Hartmann Media Integration as its Systems Integration Division containing Nick Laborn as Chief Engineer and 3 other service people.After three years of struggling with Post 9/11 that included a 630k Emergency Government 9/11 loan HMSI closed its doors along with HMI. Business was down 40% year after year due to 9/11 and post 9/11 fears of NYC investing. In the Fall of 2007 Hartmann Media II opens with the line of Lynx Technik for the North East Exclusive Territory. About 6 months later HMII agrees to Distribute Tamuz German made high end Broadcast Monitiors Exclusively to North America marketing under the company called Tamuz-USA. Basically Tamuz pulled its products off the USA market in 2010 as it saw repercussions from the Great Recession of 08. HMII's owner Dave Hartmann focused on putting his two children through College at Penn State from 08-12 while looking for a path to focus its energies again. Hurricane Irene and Sandy in 2011 and 2012 took its toll on the local market making it difficult to find that focused path. Today we saw that possibly the North East Exclusive Contract from Osee Americas was possibly the focussed path I was looking for. I hired Tom Saylor, my past engineer I used when I imported Tamuz and together we went about putting Osee on the map in the North East the way I did Miranda. But constant changes in Osee's direction caused us to bail out of that situation. So still HMII looks for a focused path apply its knowledge and experience of Exclusive Distribution with a level of security. Security in the exclusive contract that allows both parties to part company and each to still continue operations and survive in a similar way is essential.
