Following 12 years as Equitable’s General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and member of the Management Committee, I am thrilled to launch Hattem Advisors, a professional coaching service focusing on Law Department Leaders and Executives. I came to coaching as the perfect intersection of need, my unique perspective, deep experience and joy connecting with professionals from different backgrounds to help them achieve growth, impact and fulfillment.It had been quite an experience leading Equitable’s Law Department and having responsibility for strategy, operations, culture and the relationship of Equitable Holdings’ two principal franchises, Equitable and AllianceBernstein. While my General Counsel journey had many highlights, playing a key role in Equitable’s 2018 IPO from a wholly owned subsidiary of AXA Group to a fully independent company, developing professionals who have gone on to great successes and serving as principal counsel to the CEO, senior management and the Board of Directors go to the top of the list. I am Chair of the Board of the Baryshnikov Arts Center, a creative space for artists of all disciplines through residencies, performances and education. I also serve on the Scholarship and Welfare Fund of Hunter College and am an Advisor to the College's Pre-Law Program. Until the winter of 2021, I had served on the Boards of AXA Ventures Partners, a leading investor in enterprise software, fintech, consumer tech and digital healthcare in amounts ranging from $1M to $20M and the Life Insurance Council of New York where I was Chair in 2018/19.
