I’ve been fortunate to have lived and worked on three continents and traveled to over 50 countries while in private sector functions spanning: business development, marketing and communications, fundraising, program management, sales, operations, human resources, and engineering.My work in the not-for-profit sector has included fundraising for, and visiting, development projects in Tanzania, Kenya, and Lesotho, and volunteering with two international development organizations. After graduating from McGill's Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID), I helped launch an internship program with Cuso International and Canada’s leading business school and subsequently managed Commonwealth Sport Canada’s international sport-for-development programs, leading projects in Botswana, Swaziland, and several in the Caribbean. I subsequently became the Director of Strategy and Innovation at Catatlyse+ (formerly CESO- the Canadian Executive Service Organization), an organization which builds stronger economies for better lives for people around the world through the transfer of skills and expertise from Canadian mentors. I have now returned to Catalyste+ as a volunteer advisor.Locally I have helped out a not-for-profit organization tackling food security issues and served as a Board Director for Volunteer Ottawa, an organization that builds community by strengthening the not-for-profit sector through building expertise, fostering collaboration, and promoting volunteerism.As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, an accredited Sommelier, and an avid traveler, I continue to enjoy food, wine, and trekking. I’ve climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, trekked the Himalayas' Annapurna circuit in Nepal, hiked Peru’s Inca trail, completed the Haute Route alpine trail linking France and Switzerland, and walked across the UK from the Irish Sea to the North Sea. I welcome the opportunity to connect with those with common interests.
