About Dave Hughes

I am a recently licensed pharmacist who is dedicated to promoting a shift towards a patient centered style of practice. I have a passion for independent pharmacy and am building a career in consulting to community pharmacies with a goal of pharmacy ownership. I am extremely proud to be practicing in this profession and am always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other healthcare professionals. My vision for the future of community pharmacies is that they will represent multidisciplinary centres for patient focused care, instead of the product driven stores Canadians have become accustomed to. The profession of pharmacy is changing and I plan to be a catalyst in the shift towards a clinical service focused model.Specialties: Independent Community Pharmacy Practice, Medication Therapy Management, Prescription Compounding, Compliance Packaging & Long Term Care Medication Management, Pharmacy Operations & Business Management
