Dave is a chartered engineering geologist with over 14 years of experience providing both technical expertise and managerial leadership for large scale, complex, globally significant infrastructure projects for a range of international clients.He has provided geological and geotechnical interpretation for large-scale tunnelling projects, site development, mining, energy, and infrastructure initiatives across Hong Kong, the Middle East, West Africa, and the UK. He has extensive international site experience that enables him to bring a strong practical understanding of complex geological and geotechnical issues and how these can be overcome in the built environment. He has a keen interest in the onshore renewable energy space and the challenges around nascent green hydrogen initiatives.Established as a specialist engineering geologist, his roles on projects have evolved to include project management and multi-discipline design co-ordination. Working in a managerial capacity across his clients, he is dedicated to helping deliver projects on time and on budget.Prior to joining Arup, he worked on site as an engineering geologist in Hong Kong, spent over three years in Western Australia as an underground mine geologist, and has practical experience as a driller's offsider in New Zealand.
