This role has enabled me to demonstrate my enthusiasm, desire and commitment to learn about, and thrive in, the dynamic, ever changing broadcast, online and ad sales industries. This is highlighted across various projects – my first in the role was to re-develop and optimise the process for the Online Ad Sales team in light of a system workflow re-design where I’d had no previous experience of the current process or system. Despite time, system and supplier enforced constraints the re-design was delivered smoothly, with minimal post-release issue, and considered a success.As I gained more experience and a wider knowledge of all areas of the business, I was assigned to more high profile projects and programmes involving many different systems, work streams and new technologies as Sky continued to be pioneers in the market including AdSmart on set-top box VOD and Sky AdVance.All facets of the role require me to communicate between internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of the company hierarchy and many third party suppliers, highlighting a confidence and proficiency in communicating with divergent audiences.Key responsibilities of this role:- Gathering, documenting and prioritising user and technical requirements.- Workshop facilitation of various stakeholder seniority - Collating and post-delivery analysis of business benefits.- As-is and to-be business and system process mapping and optimisation. - Assisting user acceptance testing and training.- Stakeholder management including various software vendors.Key Projects:- Freewheel Video Ad Serving workflow re-design.- New Display ad platform RFP and delivery of Google XSM/DFP.- Freewheel video ad Server and Landmark airtime sales system integration.- AdSmart advertising on set top box VOD.- Sky AdVance – Sky’s Data Management Platform- Gap Analysis as part of European system and process harmonisation.- Landmark airtime sales e-learning suite.

In the role, I progressed from an application focused Business Test Analyst to a more senior end-to-end, cross business, Test Lead role for the high-profile Sky AdSmart programme.Key responsibilities of this role:- Defined test strategy and approach for major software releases and cross-business programmes.- Reviewed 3rd party RTM’s and test scripts.- Managed test execution through various cycles - FAT, regression, system, performance, SIT, OAT, E2E and UAT.- Liaised and acted as a conduit between the project, environment and release managers.- Defect management including facilitating regular triage calls.- Run quality gate meetings. - Analysis of other client’s enhancements and defect fix testing.- Managed transition of on-site to offshore test team including defining and measuring the success criteria.- Test reporting - Daily, weekly, end of cycle, test audit reports and post implementation review- Ensured supplier testing governance

This role has evolved from support of the business critical and semi-critical systems to include all aspects of the systems development life cycle including requirement gathering, analysis, testing, documentation and deployment. I specialise in providing support and analysis for all functions of Interactive Digital Sales (IDS) including Airtime Sales, Management and Trafficking where the core systems include the Oasis sales system, CARIA Approvals and Copy Rotation Instructions (CRI). This role has not only involved being both proactive and reactive, but, most importantly, it has enabled me to show my enthusiasm, desire and a commitment to learn about the dynamic and ever changing broadcast and sales industries. This was highlighted in the CRI project where I was heavily involved in the analysis phase, and managed the system and user acceptance testing and implementation.Key responsibilities of this role:- Investigate and diagnose issues relating to business critical systems.- Provide alternative temporary solutions where required and possible.- Log, update and resolve all incidents accurately and within SLA.- Analysis of system and process enhancements.- Plan and execute testing (System and User Acceptance) of bug fixes and system enhancements.- Deployment of system upgrades in accordance with department and audit procedures.- Produce and review documentation including support, user and testing.

My initiative and hard work enabled me to progress from junior to senior analyst within 6 months. During this time I improved team efficiency through development of system processes, took on the responsibility of company backup procedure and provided excellent customer service, surpassing company SLA targets. I was able to develop my technical skill set through the use of Active Directory, Citrix and Blackberry administration. The role spanned desktop, 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of support and the great opportunity to deputise in the team leader’s absence.

I was the only in-house IT support for 100 users based over six offices within the Wiltshire area. My primary role was to solve day-to-day user problems (hardware, software and networking) and plan for future IT developments including the change of practice management software. I was entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, enabling me to gain invaluable experience in many facets including consultancy, network administration and all levels of support. I obtained a truly rounded skill set within the field of IT through this position.
