My PhD thesis "Simulation as Argument" proposes a novel methodology for the computational investigation of philosophy issues. By integrating computer code as a means formalising inference within written argument, it allows us to extend the scope of digital thought experiments to domains characterised by complexity and intractability.

The University of Queensland Critical Thinking Project (UQCTP) is a comprehensive curriculum and engagement program for the development and deployment of Critical Thinking Pedagogies. The UQCTP actively assists teachers in embedding critical and creative thinking in disciplinary context, shifting the focus of education from the dissemination of accumulated knowledge to more autonomous and critically engaged learning. The UQCTP also works in partnership with educators, schools, families, communities, and institutions to improve access at university and academic success among students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Wicked Campers, the quirky Australian campervan company, has been making travel easy for backpackers and budget travellers since 2001. With over 1100 brightly painted campers in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada & South Africa, Wicked has quickly become a backpacking institution.As General Manager, Dave held P&L responsibility for all aspects of the company's Australian and New Zealand operations. During his tenure, he championed the implementation of number key initiatives including the migration of staff to performance based assessment and remuneration, embedding customer feedback into process improvement and activity based financial reporting which helped drive revenues up by an average of 35% pa.

An inability to shake the travel bug saw Dave join this multi-national travel retailer after a few years backpacking around Europe. Starting as a retail consultant, Dave was quickly promoted to lead a business travel unit. Highlights included the successful turnaround of a loss making business, great overseas junkets and some amazing national and global awards ceremonies.
