I will be working on, and striving toward, all aspects of BirdDog’s customers’ success and the reliability and reputation of BirdDog product lines and technologies. My new role will encompass customer-facing interactions, mainly through help@bird-dog.tv, as well as looking after Australian and Asia Pacific customers.

I have so much to learn from these talented people, and I hope I can pass on some of my knowledge as well.Let's get to it!

I'm looking forward to all the exciting opportunities that will come my way in the second half of 2016. The first half of the year was fantastic with the privilege of being involved with multiple shows that frankly blew people away (including, at times, myself).

And just as a reminder here are a few reasons that you may want me on your next project:~ My ability to control pressure situations and make the right calls at the right time and to not let small mistakes, by myself or others, snowball into show stopping emergences.~ Clear directions and communication on comm’s (even with a tinge of an aussie accent) so that everyone knows their roles/shots needed or directors know that I have my cues covered and they will be executed when needed.~ No fuss, no mess, help out wherever required and get the job done attitude – this skill can be underrated at times but talk to my clients and they will tell you that this attitude can be your biggest asset when push comes to shove.Give me a call to fill that space on your next show.

2014& '15 were fantastic years for me because of my move into freelancing in Boston, MA (and for that matter the U.S.A.). I thank all of my clients for giving a new face on the scene a go and I hope that I repaid you all, and will continue to repay you all, in spades. Promptside specialized in complex audio-visual event solutions, super wide screen projection and technical management for outdoor broadcasts. As owner I was involved in all aspects of shows, from pre-production planning through to implementation.~ Outdoor broadcasts, including being the prime technical engineer for Positive Pictures (NZ) Super Screen Production during the 2011 Rugby World Cup“David was the prime Technical Engineer for our Rugby World Cup Super Screen production contracts, he exercised this role in a very proficient and creative manner. The requirements for the production presentation were at the highest international standard. David made sure that our facility provided this service almost without hiccup over the 5 week term of the event. Working with highly successful design and technical teams from Story!Inc, Toulouse (who I also worked for during the build phase of the project) and Anderson Design. As one of the senior technicians my roles were to operate and provide any necessary maintenance on the technical production for video, audio, and all interactive components of the Pavilion and its outdoor gardens and VIP areas.

Having moved into the Technical Director role, after working initially as a senior level technician I continued to have control over delivering projects and managing small (3 to 15 people) teams. ~ Overseeing and collaborating with account managers on all top end productions~ Team leader~ Liaising with contracted production companies~ Show calling, vision and data switching, FOH audio~ Technical and production management

Responsibilities included co-ordination of all contractors and technicians for S.P.S. inside Earls Court function center and Earls Court 1& 2. Planning, rigging and operating of audio or video aspects of major shows.

All facets of A.V. including working with major clients at all venues throughout Melbourne including Vodafone Arena, Melbourne Park, Telstra Dome, M.C.G., Victorian Arts Centre, Sofitel and Melbourne Town Hall.
